On yesterday, Saturday, September 3, 2011 I decided to do flat twists throughout my hair. I knew beforehand that I needed to do a Co-Wash because my hair was feeling EXTRA dry from a twist out from a week ago. I co-washed my hair using VO5 Moisture Milks. I de-tangled then rinsed the conditioner out with cold water so that it would close my cuticle…. I was in a rush to get where I had to go yesterday morning so as I was driving,(I truly recommend you not to do this) I applied my leave-in conditioner;
Koils by Nature Moisturizing Shealoe Leave-In Conditioner
then did the banding method to stretch my hair out and dry some. Luckily, I thought to grab my hat to throw over my head, out in public looking like a little girl with four plaits in my head.
After 2 hours, I made it back home to get started on the Flat Twists. I actually thought it was going to take a while but really didn’t… It took about 30-45 mins of twisting and that is because I kept getting interrupted. My hair was still damp and did not need any water added to it.
Products used to style hair:
Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque( I like it better as a Moisturizer than a Deep Treatment Product)
Fruit of The Earth AloeVera Gel(to give a soft hold)
I didn’t decide to take my hair down until this evening because I was going somewhere. These result pictures are taking after I have been out in a misty rain. I think it held up pretty well and my ends felt moisturized.
